This is an information guide for the different types of post forms on Kyodo, following the latest update. All circles are able to support all the available post forms Kyodo has to offer. Personas must be enabled per circle basis by circle staff to be accessible to members.
Nothing could be simpler! Click on the circle where you want to post something, and a small (+) button will appear at the bottom of your screen. Tap it, and a pop-up will appear allowing you to choose from the different post options.
Threads
Threads are short-form posts, similar to tweets. Comments on posts are also considered threads within Kyodo.
- Can contain up to 500 characters
- Can contain up to 6 images
- Limited post formatting
Articles
Articles are long-form posts designed for advanced, detailed, and feature-worthy content.
- The article title can contain up to 75 characters
- The body of the article can contain up to 50,000 characters
- Can contain up to 50 images
- Text formatting fully available
Personas
Personas are a unique post type that lets users create original characters for role-play. They must be enabled on a per-Circle basis by the Circle owner or admins, which can be done directly through the Circle’s moderation tools.
- Persona nickname can contain up to 15 characters
- Description can contain up to 50,000 characters
- Can contain up to 50 images
- Post formatting available
Wikis
A wiki is a page that contains detailed information about a topic, such as rules, guides, characters, events, or resources. It is usually organized with sections, images, and links to make the information easy to read.
Chats
Honorable mention for chats. They can be created by the staff or the members, depending on the circle’s settings. This is a space made to allow people to share and create bonds together.
- Chat title can contain up to 75 characters
- Description can contain up to 5,000 characters
- Post formatting available
Polls
Polls are a feature accessible in Threads and Articles posts. They allow members to vote and share their opinions about a subject.
Drafts
Drafts are here! They are pretty useful to save ongoing writing texts, or get a preview of your blog.
