How to Participate in Events? — Official Guide

We noticed that some of you don’t know how events work or what they are about, but don’t worry!

We have prepared a detailed guide for you which will explain in detail what events are, how you can participate, where you can find them and some extra tips! Keep reading if you want to know all about it.

Please refer to the Event System Guide in case you want to host an event, this guide is made for the perspective of a participant for general events.

What are frame events?

These are limited time events that last up to one week across different circles. During this period, users can complete various activities. Such activities can include puzzles, coloring, roleplay, writing, or other challenges. The type of activities depends on the event organizer, so each event offers different ways to complete it!

Normally, an event has between 1-4 activities, although they could feature more. In a lot of cases, activities provide different options to complete, allowing you to choose the activities that you find the most fun or interesting!

When you complete the activities, register, and get verified, you are eligible to receive the event prize! The prizes always feature frames that you can use for your profile, this way, you can customize your profile without the need of K+, of course, K+ will still offer more options for customization.

Where can I find events and stay updated?

To keep you updated on upcoming events, Team Kyodo has an official calendar where you can find all official dated events. From the page, you can see the dates of when the event is taking place, the prize of the event and join the circle by clicking here!

Official Calendar: https://kyodo.app/event-calendar

Other alternatives is to check out the monthly TK newsletters, you can take a look at all the official events listed for the month along with their dates and respective links to each circle, but you will not be able to see the prize of each event.

Lastly, there are circles dedicated to posting all news about events, activities, there are even exclusive chats that notice you when something comes out!

How can I participate?

1 - Joining a Circle.

First, join a circle when an event is about to take place. Make sure to check the calendar of the introduction post so you know when activities go live.

Once activities are available, you will find them featured along with its translations. You can also then find them by joining the event chats of your respective language, usually they will be linked in the chat description.

2 - Completing Activities.

After reading each activity, you can start doing them!

Usually you will have to create a post or more in order to complete them. Some events will provide examples of activities so you know how to do them correctly.

3 - Registration.

You will need to register after completing your activities. Most events require registration through a Google form, failing to register will prevent you from receiving the prize. Always double check your links before submitting the form.

4 - Verification.

After registering, you will enter the stage of verification, during this process a verifier will check if your activities are correct.

If your activities are incorrect, the verifier will leave a comment with what changes that need to be made. If your activities are correct, congrats! You are now verified!

5 - Final sheet.

Event staff will release an excel sheet with all the users global links who registered and were successfully verified before it gets sent to Team Kyodo. It is recommended to check the final sheet to make sure you are on it. Usually you will have 24-48h to check.

If you aren’t on the sheet, you can contact the event organizer or other event staff.

6 - Wait for the prize to be added to your inventory!

Some Tips!

1. Do NOT change your global profile link ( https://kyodo.app/s/u/redsita ) if you participate in an event. This may prevent you from getting the event price! If this happens, you can try contacting the event organizer to re-send the sheet.

2. Always Read twice! Sometimes you may miss a requirement or important details, so it’s better to read everything twice to avoid unnecessary questions or misunderstandings later.

3. Be patient! When you wait for verification or a correction, please be patient with verifiers. Do not harass them or rush them into checking your activity, this can also apply to helpers when you ask them for assistance. This behavior could get you disqualified from an event.

4. Do not use AI, most if not all events prohibit the use of AI, whether it’s images or written text, it will most time mark your activity as incorrect or even get you disqualified.

5. Take a screenshot of your registration, you may not need it most of the time. But it could be helpful as proof in cases where you did not get verified after the verification process was finished.

6. Check your Notifications! This is really important during the verification process. When you receive a correction you will have a limited time to fix it (24-48h usually). This is to prevent you from getting disqualified for not correcting on time.
