How to delete your circle?

A common question we receive is how to delete your circle. If your circle is not yet listed, it can be deleted at any time. However, if it is listed, you must first go through a review process to determine whether the circle can be deleted.

Circle deletion requirements:

  1. The circle must have less than 300 members. In smaller segments, it's 150 members or less.
  2. The circle have less than 10 daily active users.

Please note that intentionally banning users from your circle or restricting members from posting or chatting in order to meet these requirements is considered power abuse and may result in the owner or staff members being banned.

The same rule applies to owners or staff who mark their circle as “closed.” If this is reported to us, a new owner will be assigned and the circle will be reopened.

Please understand that an owner or staff member choosing not to moderate a circle anymore does not necessarily reflect the members’ interest in it. Forcing users out of a circle where they are active or comfortable is considered a form of power abuse.

What can I do if my circle cannot be deleted?

  1. The best option is to transfer it to a staff or circle member who is interested in ownership of your circle.
  2. If you cannot find anyone, or don't have the time to, please reach out to Support. In this case a volunteer will be assigned to your circle to find a new staff team.

There are many solutions to how you can responsibly pass on ownership of your circle when you are no longer interested in the circle topic or don't have enough time. Team Kyodo will do our best to help you as long as you reach out.
