Hello everyone,
As Kyodo continues to grow, we want to ensure all users have easy access to event guidelines to help with both preparation and participation.
Violations of any of the following rules may result in event cancellation and may lead to the host or circle being restricted from hosting future events. To report an event or raise a concern, please contact Support or the Community Manager directly.
Please refer to Event Guide for instructions to request an event.
———————————————————————
01. Event Expectations & Requirements
Event expectations must be fair, realistic, and achievable.
• All event rules and or requirements must be stated clearly and concisely. No hidden rules or requirements should exist.
• Hosts must not require monetary payment or any form of compensation for event participation.
• All users have the right to join events freely. Discrimination based on race, religion, beliefs, or other personal characteristics is strictly prohibited.
• Activities must be accessible for all participants, and each activity should be given at least 24 hours for participants to complete.
• Participation should not demand or require advanced skills or applications that not everyone can access.
———————————————————————
02. Event Timeline
Events must occur strictly within the approved date range. Events can only be 7 days long.
• No pre-event activities or early requirements are allowed unless explicitly authorized by Team Kyodo.
• Events must start and end on their scheduled dates. Extensions will only be granted in rare cases, such as significant technical issues on Kyodo’s side. Personal reasons do not qualify.
• After the event ends, hosts have 30 days to submit the final winner sheet to the Event Browser. Multiple submissions are allowed within this period in case of corrections. However, abuse of this process may result in revoked event privileges.
• After 30 days, the event portal will automatically close, and submissions will no longer be accepted.

03. Verification & Rewards
All event frames must follow Kyodo’s Frame Guidelines.
• Event frames can only be awarded to users who registered, participated, and were successfully verified.
• All users who have successfully registered must be allowed a chance to be checked.
• Distributing event frames to non-participants is strictly prohibited.
• Event frames must not be used as prizes for unrelated event activities (e.g., giveaways or contests), unless it is an official Team Kyodo event.
• Event hosts and supporting staff (such as helpers, translators, verifiers, editors, etc.) are eligible for event frames if they actively contributed. Inactive staff may be excluded at the event owner’s discretion.

04. Circle Owner’s Responsibility
Circle owners are responsible for ensuring that their event complies with all Kyodo event rules. Circles hosting or co-hosting events must ensure internal rules (such as their community guidelines) and moderation practices do not conflict with Kyodo’s global event standards.
• It is the owner's duty to oversee that all event operations run smoothly and fairly within the guidelines.
• Event staff (including helpers, translators, verifiers, editors, etc.) are volunteers and must be treated with respect at all times.
• Any abuse, mistreatment, or disrespect toward staff members is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.
———————————————————————
05. Event Modifications
Once an event is approved by Team Kyodo, the event owner or any decision-making party may not make changes to the event details, including the date, requirements, activities, prizes, or other key elements without prior approval from Team Kyodo.
To make any changes to an existing event, the event’s circle owner must reach out to Support or to the Community Manager.

06. AI Usage
Kyodo does not support AI usage to create event-related activities or assets.
• AI frames, art, or edits are not allowed to be used during official global events.
• Event organizers and participants are not allowed to use AI to create or generate event activities. The only time AI software is allowed to be used is during translations or grammar checks.
• If an event participant is using AI to complete their activities, it is required that they be disqualified from earning the event frame.
